Example itinerary for the Gove Adventurer
Package
Day 1: Arrive at Gove Airport where
you are met and transferred to your accommodation in the Walkabout
Lodge or the Gove
Peninsula Motel.
Relax and enjoy a few drinks in the bar followed by
a delicious evening meal. Make sure you are in bed early because
it is an early one tomorrow!
Day 2: You are transferred at 6:00am
to Gove Harbour where you board the M.V Arafura Blue and set out
for the English Company Islands. On arriving at our Island Retreat,
Wigram Island, we settle into our comfortable tent lodge and then
head out fishing for the remainder of the day. We then return to
Wigram Island were you may freshen up, take a walk or go for a swim
in the clear blue waters of the Arafura seas. A few cold ones and
a sumptuous meal under the stars and you will probably be ready
for bed!
Day 3 & 4: You may want to start
your days with an early morning swim or walk along the beach. After
a hearty breakfast, we set out for some adventure fishing around
the Wessel Islands, Bromby Islands and English Company Islands Group.
These are just a few of the spectacular “hot spots”
that leave most anglers with aching arms from reeling them in! Encounter
the notorious “hole in the wall” as well as the Cumberland
Straits Channel - this is blue water sport fishing at its best!
You will also have the chance to take in some of the
breathtaking scenery in one of Australia’s most remote and
pristine regions. Go for a bush walk and enjoy some of the flora
& fauna native to the Top End and Wigram Island. Relax on the
long white sandy beaches, experience spectacular sunsets and star
filled skies.
Day 5: Set out early this morning to
catch the big one! Your last chance to break the records. Return
to Gove Harbour in the late afternoon and you are transferred to
your Gove accommodation to reminisce on your great catches or the
one that got away.
Day 6: Depart Nhulunbuy, Gove taking
maybe a few catches and great memories.
