About Wigram Island
Our Island Retreat, the beautiful Wigram Island, is
located approximately 3 hours travel from Nhulunbuy/Gove on our
boat. If you are in a hurry or want to bypass staying in Gove, we
offer small charter plane transfers to and/or from the island at
an additional cost. We have exclusive tented accommodation on this
island so you are guaranteed privacy and exclusivity on your visit.
There will no other holidaymakers on the Island, it is all yours
to enjoy and explore!
Our Wigram Island retreat offers shady beachside accommodation
on a twin share basis in fully screened all weather tents, with
single beds, linen and towel provided. Fresh water shower and flush
toilet add to the comforts of our remote island accommodation.
Our dining area is equipped with generator powered lights,
refrigeration and gas cooking equipment. Meals are enjoyed under
our beachside marquee taking in the magnificent views of the Arafura
Sea - sunrise and sunsets are like no other! The evening view of
the stars is clear and unclouded by city lights and pollution.
Our local staff prepares meals and the menu is varied
each day. Along with our “catch of the day”, a beef,
lamb or chicken dish is prepared along with vegetables, rice or
pasta. Please note that whilst we endeavour to cater for passengers
needs, it is not always possible as we have limited access to speciality
items in this region. If you have special dietary requirements please
let us know.
